• It is one of the rarest tiger variants in the world. Roughly 30 golden tabby tigers are believed to exist worldwide, almost all in captive breeding programs.
• Her golden color comes from a recessive gene. The "wideband gene" cuts back black pigment, producing the blond coat with reddish-brown stripes instead of black.
• No two tigers share the same stripe pattern. Like human fingerprints, stripes are used to identify each individual.
• They love the water. Unlike most cats, tigers swim long distances with ease.
• A single paw strike can exceed 450 kg of force. That's enough to crush the skull of a large prey animal in one blow.

The Bengal tiger lives in forests and mangroves across India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. The golden tabby variant is extremely rare and is only known today in captive conservation programs.
