• It has the longest legs relative to body size of any cat. It can leap up to 3 meters straight up from a standing position.
• Its ears are huge and swivel independently. They can detect rodents even while they move underground.
• It has a 50% hunting success rate. It is one of the most effective hunters among all wild cats.
• It hits 80 km/h in short sprints. Its tail helps it change direction accurately while chasing prey.
• It prefers savannas and wetlands, not dense jungle. It needs tall-grass areas where it can stalk without being seen.

It lives across sub-Saharan Africa, mostly in savannas south of the Sahara.
